Milady Marguerite DeMornay is starting out her new life in the country in Pembine, Wisconsin, with her two big dogs. One dog is her longtime friend “Cask,” a St. Bernard. The other dog is her new friend, “Mass,” a Mastiff. Roaming the countryside, Milady discovers four beautiful little sand dunes in the middle of a field of wilderness. Day by day, Bible verses about the King of the Jews she finds written by a stick in each sand dune. Cask is all for these Scripture verses. But Mass is against these Scripture verses. The Sophomore Girlfriend – Mr. Morgan P. McCarthy

The Sophomore Girlfriend—Brindle Staid–and Flanders Nickels have been dating for one year now. Flanders was born again now for one month. But Brindle is still lost. They are both tenth-graders at Preble High School. And tonight on a date they are at the varsity football game to see the Preble Hornets play the first game of the year. Their disagreement upon her own need for salvation comes to a head this evening, and they are on the verge of breaking up. And along comes the star quarterback—the most popular boy of high school. And Brindle runs off with him. Flanders prays. And God answers his prayer with a most unusual series of events.

The Sylvan Sylph – Mr. Morgan P. McCarthy

Flanders Nickels remembers the girl who got away—a young woman named ‘Heidi H. Hendrickson.’ She was a fairy girl of the woods who was yet lost in her sins, and he was now a born-again believer with a burden now for her lost soul. Before he had become a born-again Christian, he special ordered a cheerleader’s uniform with her name “HEIDI” upon it to forever remember her by. But he ended up wearing it upon himself instead. And he invites the sylvan sylph Heidi over for a first date. He wants her to see him in this cheerleader uniform and to hear him share the Word of God with her.

My collection of Christian short stories, numbering one hundred in all, I affectionately call ‘My Canon of Horsetails and Cattails.’ And my collection of Christian novels, numbering fifteen in all, I affectionately call ‘My Canon of Griffins and Unicorns.’ And my pen name—Flanders Nickels—I came up with from nowhere some time back in the mid-1980’s. And my writing ministry for God I happily call ‘My Canon Ministry.’ I use only the King James Version Bible. And I am a fundamental Baptist. I hope that you have fun reading for free on this website. And I myself became a born-again believer in Christ in a most wondrous time around Christmas in 1990 in a soul-changing twelve days which I fondly call ‘My Twelve Days of Christmas.’ It is written, ‘”…, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,…” Acts 16:31.’
